Abstract
GARDUNO ESTRADA, León R.. Evaluación del Programa Escuelas de Calidad en el estado de Puebla: resultados sobre logro educativo. RMIE [online]. 2008, vol.13, n.38, pp.891-917. ISSN 1405-6666.
This study presents the results of an evaluation of educational achievement in the Quality Schools Program in the state of Puebla. Out of a total of 130 schools that complied with a series of requirements, a sample was formed by randomly selecting twenty-six schools, considering the level of marginalization. The results of the Spanish, mathematics, and thinking skills tests given to children in the third through sixth grades in these schools, were compared with the results from another twenty-six schools that did not participate in the program. The scores were analyzed by using a general linear model, type III. Although statistically significant differences were found in practically all the analyses, the program's contribution measured by the partially squared "eta" statistic was very low.
