Abstract

ROMO MARTINEZ, José Matías. Estudiantes universitarios y sus relaciones de pareja: de sus experiencias y proyectos de vida. RMIE [online]. 2008, vol.13, n.38, pp.801-823. ISSN 1405-6666.

This study presents the partial results of a doctoral thesis that addresses, through interviews, the topic of university students' couple relationships; students were asked about their experiences, life projects, and sexuality. Most of the interviewees have had a couple relationship. The meanings they attach to these relationships are multiple and on occasions, contrary: peaceful, tempestuous, formal, or simply to pass the time. All have lifelong marriage as an important referent, although they do not discard the possibility of separation; most want to have children and believe that stability should be attained before marriage. Opinions on sexuality are both in favor and against.

Keywords : affectivity; students; young people; sexuality; couple relationships; Mexico.
