Abstract

DUIT, Reinders. La investigación sobre enseñanza de las ciencias: un requisito imprescindible para mejorar la práctica educativa.Translated byLaurette Godinas. RMIE [online]. 2006, vol.11, n.30, pp.741-770. ISSN 1405-6666.

We present a conception of science education that serves to improve classroom teaching and teacher training programs. It is based on a model of educational reconstruction that sustains that topics of interest related to the subject of science, on one hand, and students’ needs and abilities to learn, on the other hand, must receive equal attention in any attempt to develop a focus of qualitative improvement. In addition, research and development activities must be closely linked. The affirmation is made that such a frame of reference for researching science education is an unavoidable prerequisite for improving institutional practice, and thus the ulterior progress of scientific bibliography.

Keywords : science education; research; educational practice; students; teachers.
