Abstract

This article addresses the aspects of students' trajectories that articulate family trajectories/choices and institutional proposals/offerings for secondary school students from the high and middle classes. In total, 614 interviews were carried out with students from fourteen public and private schools in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, and 150 interviews with parents, teachers, directors and students from different social sectors. The results describe the diverse strategies that characterize these social groups in the Argentine context of the early 21st century.
