CALYECAC-CORTERO, Humberta G.; CIBRIAN-TOVAR, Juan; SOTO-HERNANDEZ, Marcos  e  GARCIA-VELASCO, Rómulo. Isolation and identification of Physalis philadelphica LAM. volatiles. Agrociencia [online]. 2007, vol.41, n.3, pp.337-346. ISSN 2521-9766.

This study was conducted to isolate and identify the volatile components of husk tomato Physalis philadelphica Lam. Volatiles were collected by washing with hexane and through dynamic aeration (DA) and solid phase micro-extraction (SPME). The volatiles collected were isolated, analyzed and identified with gas chromatography (GC) coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The final compounds collected by DA and SPME were identified as methyl salicylate, β-caryophyllene, β-elemene, decanal and germacrene D. The compounds collected by hexane washing were β-caryophyllene, ethyl linolenate, methyl salicylate, β-pinene, hexadecanoic acid, methyl linolenate, benzyl alcohol, D germacrene, 3 carene, β-elemene and decanal.

Palavras-chave : Dynamic aeration; allelochemicals; GC; GC-MS; solid phase micro-extraction; husk tomato.
