Abstract

SOTOLONGO MOLINA, Lázara et al. PALINOLOGÍA DEL GÉNERO CALLICARPA L. (LAMIACEAE: VITICOIDEACEAE) EN CUBA. Polibotánica [online]. 2007, n.24, pp.53-73. ISSN 1405-2768.

Mature pollen grains of 18 species of Callicarpa L. were studied using light microscopy in order to help resolve several taxonomical problems. Two pollen types were identified: inaperturate and tricolpate. Starting with 19 samples and 14 pollencharacters and using the statistical package NTSYS 1.6, a multivariate analysis reflected the phenetic structure of the Cuban representatives. Different groups of Taxonomical Operational Units (OTUs) were determined based on pollen dimensions and presence or absence of apertures.

Keywords : Lamiaceae; Callicarpa; pollen; multivariate analysis; Cuba.
