Study about the business activities of the most important man -Francisco Martínez Negrete de Alba-in the financial elite of Guadalajara, at the begirming of the Porfirio Díaz regime. His business activities contributed to the modernization of the Guadalajara region. With other important local entrepreneurs, he played an active role in the region through the establishment of several companies and assumed his father's responsibilities in others. It is without a doubt that he was part of a complex entrepreneurial net comprised of political relatives and the most influential entrepreneurs of those years.
