The purpose of the article is to present the theoretical framework of the research (Fondecyt núm. 1090108) about the analysis of the juridical discourse and the press discourse in Chile. Whereas both kinds of public discourse can be understood as a social device used to control power, subjectivity, knowledge and truth.
