In order to understand the rhetoric-narrative-discursive efficacy of the anchorpersons, the research is organized with regard to the concept of device. The methodological context is based on a classical rhetoric, textual analysis; the analysis of discourse and Peirce's semiotics. Based on these subjects and their corresponding methodologies, this research clarifies the articulation of the language components and the discursive effects of the words of the anchorperson. The research achieves to define a generic ethos on which the television news founds its credibility in an efficient way if the anchorperson demonstrates their ethical correctness to their viewers.
