Abstract

BETANCOURT MARTINEZ, Fernando. Metaphorology, Metaphorical and Unconceptuality: An Epistemological Perspective. Hist. graf [online]. 2018, n.50, pp.123-151. ISSN 1405-0927.

The article seeks to explore the possibilities of an epistemological reading of the metaphorology proposed by Hans Blumenberg. For this, it is worked from two crucial moments, on one side, the procedural logic of metaphorological research, and on the other, the theoretical approach that underlies it and ends up focusing its attention on the conceptual. This last aspect, the theoretical, was reformulated by Blumenberg in the sense of a reflection on the inconceptual character of all concepts. Both are summarized in reflective performance applicable to the communication phenomenon as a cognitive aspect of great amplitude.

Keywords : epistemology; metaphor; Hans Blumenberg; methodology; systems theory; metaphorics.
