In June 2011, an important amendment to the Mexican constitution took place. The majority of the articles related to Human Rights were modified, reinforcing Mexico's willingness to acknowledge international law in the subject. This paper offers the reconstruction of some of the decisions and procedures that took place regarding this amendment and traces a map of what the different political, legal and social agents should do in order to fulfill the promises made by it.
