Resumo

A brief presentation of the theory of the deliberative democracy, as described by Carlos Nino, is made in this work. Specifically, the work suggests that the idea of deliberative democracy as a substitute of a moral discourse that allows us to access to moral truth suffers from Platonism in a strong sense, according to which truth is out of social relationships, and suffers from Platonism in a soft sense, according to which truth is outside of all power s relations.
