PEREZ MORENO, F. et al. Optimización del método de determinación de arsénico en aguas potables por espectrofotometría UV-Vis con dietil ditiocarbamato de plata. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2002, vol.46, n.2, pp.175-179. ISSN 0583-7693.
The optimisation of the current NOM-AA-46-1981 is performed. This establishes the spectrophotometric method for the determination of arsenic with silver diethyldithiocarbamate, in natural, waste, estuary and seawaters. The detection limit (0,10 mgL-1), does not permit to define real values in wall waters in the established levels by the National and International regulations (< 0,050 mgL-1). Optimizing with a Taguchi parameter design, the HCl volumes, time of heat, wavelength and even volume, we could decrease the detection limit in 3.5 times (until 0.028 mgL-1), that could be comparated with the results obtained by Atomic Absorption (hydride generation).
