Herein we describe the enantioselective synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of the enantiomerically pure γ-acetyl-α-diketones 11 and 12, from compounds (25S)-23-acetyl-3β,26-diacetyloxy-5β-furost-22-ene (7) and (25R)-23-acetyl-3β,26-diacetyloxy-5α-furost-22-en-12-one (8), respectively.
