SOLANO PERALTA, Alejandro y SOSA TORRES, Martha E.. Aplicación de un modelo para la interpretación de espectros de resonancia paramagnética electrónica de sistemas octaédricos de Cr(III). Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2000, vol.44, n.2, pp.168-175. ISSN 0583-7693.
In this work we present a model for interpreting electron paramagnetic resonance spectra for spin, S = 3/2 without hyperfine interaction. The model includes the matrix diagonalisation of the spin Hamiltonian, the resonant fields and their angular variation, besides it includes a color code in order to assign the value of the transition probability which was calculated making use of the Fermi's golden rule. It was found that the forbidden transitions (by the magnetic dipolar selection rules) were not negligible under the conditions of this calculation. The method is applied to EPR spectra of: coordination compounds: [Cr(TTP)Cl(acetone)], [Cr(TTP)Cl(4-cyanopyridin)] and trans-RSSR-[Cr(cyclam)Cl2]NO3.
