Abstract

MARTINEZ, Roberto; PENA-MONTIEL, Marco A.  and  AVILA-ZARRAGA, J. Gustavo. Estudio cuantitativo de la relación estructura-actividad (QSAR) de Bis(acridin-4-carboxamidas) con actividad citotóxica. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2000, vol.44, n.1, pp.62-66. ISSN 0583-7693.

Recently, a series of dimeric substituted acridin-4-carboxamides, linked by a -(CH2)3N(Me) CH2)3 chain, showed good activity against a panel of cancer cell lines in culture: Murine P388 leukemia (P388), Murine Lewis lung carcinoma (LL) and wild-type human Jurkat leukemia (JL). In this work the quantitative structure-activity relationship analysis (QSAR) of these compounds is described. The analysis gave equations that describe some parameters that correlated with the observed activity and permitted to propose some hypothetical compounds with better activity.

Keywords : Bis(acridin-4-carboxamides); cytotoxicity; QSAR.
