In this paper, the main results of the research project Consumption Cultural and social representations in children, adolescents and young people from Mexico City are exposed. It describes the close relationship between economic inequality and social and cultural inequality. Theoretically, it is part of the theory of social field of Pierre Bourdieu and the method of multiple correspondence analysis is used to arrive at these results.
