This paper analyzes the convergent process of State reform and legal and illegal private actors that shaped a mixed order through which the regional territory was transformed, and was promoted the desregulation of agro-industry of avocado and a violent hoarding of resources and opportunities in southwestern Michoacán. First we defined the framework and within a contextual historical analysis we present empirical evidence that explains the configuration, consolidation and expansion of the social order, that was possible only to the extent that legal and institutional mechanisms were coupled with the illegal practice of violence and the state economic deregulation.
