MOLINA FUENTES, Mariana Guadalupe. La Iglesia católica en el espacio público: un proceso de continua adecuación. Polít. cult. [online]. 2012, n.38, pp.49-65. ISSN 0188-7742.

Mexican history is an evidence of the undeniable influence of the Catholic Church through the formation of the political system and the creation of social cohesion. The presence of the ecclesiastical structure has remained in spite of the Liberal victory in the 19th century and other processes that threatened its action scope. In this article, it is proposed that the Church adequacy is accompanied by the permanence of its traditional values, a quality that emerges from its dual composition and ensures its reproduction as an agent in the sociopolitical space, despite the multiple changes on the environment in which it develops.

Palavras-chave : Catholic church; sociopolitical system; temporary order; organizational reproduction strategies; contemporary Mexico.
