This article provides a reflection about the work of a big group of Zimapan's people and a team of professors and students of UAM-Xochimilco, who recovered the memory of "Todos Somos Zimapán" civic movement, wich took place in Zimapan, Hidalgo since 2007. This movement was able to stop the operation of a dangerous residue confinement in the municipio. The text relates the collective memory with the imaginary creation in the social movements and institutions that are involved in defense of life and sustainable development; it refers the bound between the imaginary dimensions that are displayed by the group's, movements, organizations and institutions, the collective ways of de subjectivity and the complex games of the emotions that are implicated.
