The aim of this article is to examine a particular aspect of the "Process of national reorganization" collective memory in Argentina: the place of the society and its relation with factual truth in the elaborations of the collective memory of transition, in immediately post-dictatorial period (1983-1985). The intention is not to return on the theoretical discussions between memory and historical truth, but to analyze how Argentineans figured their own responsibility, and the knowledge or the ignorance that they had had about the truth of the crimes of the Process, in their collective memory of the dictatorial past during transitional period.
