This article approaches the changes that take place in the productive and reproductive work and in the power relations when women assume the control in their homes, focusing on two municipalities of Guanajuato, Mexico. The data suggest changes in the productive and reproductive work and the relations of power caused by the women household head in the social and gender structure.
