Abstract

This document analyses the causes that limitate women representation in local mexican governments. First, social and political inequity between women and men and their consequences in female's sub representation in local governments are explained through gender criteria. Secondly this is a document that studies a case in which a woman Mayor had several social and political limits in relation with male hegemony.
