Abstract

SANTAMARIA GOMEZ, Arturo. El movimiento de los inmigrantes indocumentados en Estados Unidos. Polít. cult. [online]. 2007, n.27, pp.99-120. ISSN 0188-7742.

The presence of the undocumented immigrants in the society of the United States has acquired relevancy among the wage-earning classes in that country. As a result, immigrants have become a part of the most important cultural, labor and human rights movement in the United States during the last thirty years. In 2006 we watched one of those movements showing a militant answer to the law HR 4437, which was the detonator that originated such a movilization without any precedent and a sudden and massive politization among the Latin community north of the border.

Keywords : undocumented immigrants; social movilizations; civil rights; syndicate; United States.
