The objective of this paper is to analyze the origin and development of a rural social movement in the Argentinean northeast in the seventies. The paper focuses on a particular peasant organization, the ULICAF (Union de Ligas Campesinas Formoseñas), a rural social movement which was born in Formosa province. The fundamental topic to study in this paper are the different aspects related to the ownership of land, which was for this peasant movement one of the most important problem to solve.
