Abstract

RIVERA SANCHEZ, Liliana. Mobility, Circulations and Localities: Analytical Challenges of the Return and the Reintegration to the City. Alteridades [online]. 2015, vol.25, n.50, pp.51-63. ISSN 2448-850X.

Some concepts and categories are reviewed and raised to analyze the contemporary experiences of the return and reintegration/reimmigration of Mexican migrants returning from the United States and relocated in urban spaces. The research starts reviewing two key notions: return and reintegration, and then a proposal is offered from different theoretical approaches. The main contributions come from the perspective of mobility, the transnational studies and the global migrations; it also considers some basic presuppositions of the research on migratory movement and urban areas.

Keywords : migration; insertion; urban space; circuit; Mexico; the United States.
