Abstract

CALDERON BONY, Frida  and  ODGERS ORTIZ, Olga. Devotional Practices and Space Building in Mobility. Alteridades [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.48, pp.99-110. ISSN 2448-850X.

The study observes how religious practices adjust to space-time mobility within the context of migration between Mexico and the United States. It privileges a spatial dimension; it shows how devotional practices mirror the creation of new territorial circuits and anchorages. Moreover, returning to the analytical proposition of spatial holograms, it seeks to identify how those practices contribute to give significance to the space of mobility for those who migrate, reconfiguring thus the territories they inhabit.

Keywords : migration; religion; territory; spatial holograms.
