A reflection on the interrelations between museography and historiography regarding narrativity is presented in this text. Certain processes of hegemonic control and persuasion regarding memory, history and forgetting are explored in the case of some Mexican museums. We shall put forth the representational challenges faced by history museums, split between the objects' fetichization and dissolution, whether it deals with new technologies for the display of memory or with a new memory of scenic technologies.
