Appropriate technology emerges as an alternative to bring closer all the benefits of technological progress within the sustainable development framework. A case study of an indigenous community in Mexico -benefited from a technology transference process due to the increasing of their life quality- analyzes diverse factors that facilitated their success as well as some lessons that public politics should learn.
