Resumen

SORIN, Ana. The Nocturnal Riches of Edmund Husserl’s “Origin of Geometry”: An Introduction. Phenomenology, Visibility, and the Literary in the Young Derrida. Tópicos (México) [online]. 2022, n.62, pp.289-313.  Epub 28-Mar-2022. ISSN 0188-6649.  https://doi.org/10.21555/top.v62i0.1226.

This article presents an interpretation of Derrida’s Edmund Husserl’s “Origin of Geometry”: An Introduction through the question of the literary. We are not talking about literature as an institution, but about a certain understanding and characterization of the nature of language in non-idealistic terms (by which we mean, in general terms, a non-instrumental language). On the one hand, this article will show the relevance of this topic within the specific development of Derrida’s Introduction, showing that it is fundamental to address his critique of Husserl’s “demand for visibility”. On the other hand, we provide a critical contextualization of his intellectual path (for example, regarding the doctoral thesis that Derrida was writing at the time, and “Force and Signification”, the text that he published immediately after) that will show the relevance of our analysis.
