Resumen

TORRES-BEJARANO, Franklin  y  RAMIREZ-LEON, Hermilo. The ANAITE mode for studying the hidrodynamics and water quality of natural rivers with soft slope. Rev. Int. Contam. Ambient [online]. 2007, vol.23, n.3, pp.115-127. ISSN 0188-4999.

In this paper, description, validation and application of a 2D water quality model for natural rivers is presented. The hydrodynamic component is solved in two times, first, the hydraulic profile is calculated satisfying the energy equation starting from a control section where the level and the flow are know; then, the hydrodynamic is calculated for the superficial plane, using an adaptation to the universal law of velocities for irregular sections. The hydrodynamic component generated is the base for the solution of the water quality module, constituted respectively by three sub-modules where physical, chemical and biological, and toxicological substances variables are solved. The transport of the modeling parameters is carried out using a numerical solution in finite differences of advection-diffusion-reaction equation. The different modules of this program are validated using different existent models in the literature. The results obtained with the model, called ANAITE, are satisfactory.
