This paper shows that the Alto Lerma Region is a space of complex organization, where diverse social and territorial processes are intertwined, represented by the existence of agrarian, urban and industrial structures. Each one of these structures have necessities and interests that define the appropriation, control and production of the regional space and, therefore, they are decisive factors of the socioterritorial configuration of Alto Lerma Region.The official statistical information is analyzed, as well as the available works, from an hypothetical-deductive perspective.
