This paper is the space-time analysis of surface winds in the northwest of Mexico. It intents to evaluate the geographic distribution of potential wind power. Four months were examined: January, April, July and October, the most frequent winds present two main directions: west and southwest. Winds at maximum speed appear in some places of the shore and high slope of mountains. Areas of maximum potential wind power have the same spatial distribution.
