VALVERDE, Carmen y GODINEZ, Lourdes. Movimientos migratorios de los indígenas en México: estudio de tres casos. Invest. Geog [online]. 1982, n.12, pp.227-238. ISSN 2448-7279.
The purpose of this paper is to set that indian migration is strongly related to the different systems of production and commercialization which come up in the areas of indian settlements; observing a migration process, which shows the existence of indian areas with over exploitation of resources in which population can not be retained. And on the other hand, there are areas where exploitation and commercialization are still possible and thus indian population can be retained, nevertheless, at present, the indian population shows a light tendency to emigration. In way of example are been analized three indian areas: mazateca from northern of Oaxaca State; nahua from the Sierra de Zongolica of Veracruz State, and mazahua from the north-west of state of Mexico.
