Resumen
OCHOTERENA F., Héctor. Evolución de las unidades morfoestructurales de la región de Diquiyú. Invest. Geog [online]. 1980, n.10, pp.285-317. ISSN 2448-7279.
After a brief analysis on the phisiography, the climatic conditions and the more important data related with the population, the basal complex rocks of the Diquiyú area are discussed on a certain detail. The conclusion is that the Guerrero-Oaxaca palcobasin must have been formed on metamorphic pre-jurassic rocks locally covered by andesitic-basaltic lavas and tuffs. On top of the metamorphic rocks sedimental materials were deposited forming the "Conglomerado Cualac". Over the extrusive-igneous materials the sediments gave origin to the Rosario formation. Both formations are thus equally old and they are interdigited in such a way that the first seems to cover the second in the central part of the Diquiyú anticlinal. This anticlinal was formed by a laccolithe which gave place to a window of erosion. Later on, a volcano was born, and today it remaines only as a volcanic neck by the village of Diquiyú.
