In Mexico there is heterogeneity on grain storage. The aim of this study is to propose a typology for maize warehouses that allow grouping the shared characteristics. The typology could serve as a basis for targeting policies differentiated support. Methodology consisted on the following statistical tools: principal component analysis and cluster analysis. The data used was provided by 1.158 corn warehouses located in 28 states of Mexico. The following variables were considered: equipment for grain handling, laboratory and transportation, administrative records and infrastructure installed capacity. Results allow to classify corn warehouses in five homogeneous groups into each one and heterogeneous each other, also to identify in which federative entities predominates each cluster.
