The art criticism and creative writings by Jaime Torres Bodet are analized in this article. The essay is focused on Bodet´s criticism and notes about Italian art, mainly on Leonardo Da Vinci´s life and Venetian Renaissance. It is recognized that his travels around Italy and Europe and his work as UNESCO’S Director-General would influence his writings on this subject.
