This essay retrieves the proposals of Jesús Martín-Barbero, in order to examine the issue of mediations, its scope and potential leads in research on Information and Communications Technologies. It aims to provide an analytical link between the category of mediations and appropriation, sizing the shift towards technological and technoeducational mediations.
