In this article we tackle a genre of particular relevance in the global publishing market: the self-help literature. Taking place at a city of Argentina, and through analysis of representations, experiences, and practices of reading, we recover singular readings of the self-help books, finally revealing the plot that weaves with the system of cultural industries.
