This article discusses the early obstacles faced by radio and television broadcasting in Jalisco. The first section focuses on a period between 1924 and 1955, a period in which radio stations tried to express a regional cultural identity, whilst resisting the economic pressures brought by big corporate competitors from Mexico City.
