Abstract

This article examines the emergent metaphors about human flu A (H1N1) in Mexico, in two newspapers with different ideology, during the main phase of the contingency, in 2009, in order to understand the meaning of the epidemic immersed in current national circumstances in its different sceneries: social, economic, political and about beliefs.
