Amin Maalouf proposes a way of conceiving personal identity in the era of planetary tribes: the composite or multicultural identity. The Lebanese writer points out the risks involved if one rejects these multicultural identities, that can be come murderous. Understanding the multicultural person will correct intercultural communication in Latin America.
