With the federal elections of 2000 and the consequent defeat of the PRI, it is assumed the end of a long process of democratization; and a process of the actors’ redefinition begins involved in the public scene, to this, do not escape the media.

In this new scenario and inside the theory normative of the press, (the politic-economic theory of the press and the theory of the agenda-setting and agenda-building), we observe the behaviour of the press, specifically of the newspapers, through the comparison of the journalistic speech of three newspapers of national circulation.
