HERNANDEZ, Diógenes; BOTTNER, Elizabeth; CATALDO, Fernando y ZARAGOZA, Eduardo. Augmented Reality Application for Chemistry Laboratories. Educ. quím [online]. 2021, vol.32, n.3, pp.30-37. Epub 14-Mar-2022. ISSN 0187-893X. https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2021.3.68129.
The use of augmented reality as an emerging technology is very efficient to achieve interest from students, especially in the case of chemistry which is a science that, by its nature, needs to be treated in a theoretical and experimental way, but this last aspect is not always feasible to do in the necessary extension and depth with the students.
Therefore, the research carried out here consisted of developing, through augmented reality, three laboratory experiences that are common to all general chemistry courses, so that students could carry out practices using their different digital devices (tablet and cell phones), to better understand the contents treated in the classroom, through virtual and recreational resources.
The results showed that 91% of students in the careers of Mechanical Engineering Mechanics and Civil Engineering Mechatronics, they felt familiar with this powerful computing tool, since it is easy to work, very interactive is not as necessary as a chemistry lab It is possible to use a chemical process to demonstrate and experience many of the classroom theories.
