The results show that functional intermetropolitan interactions are weak, showing employment levels below the expected if they would take in account the geographic proximity. An important expansion of the manufacturing employment in the northcenter region is highlighted, the opposite of its deceleration in the Valley of Mexico´s metropolitan areas.
