Abstract

PINERA RAMIREZ, David  and  HERNANDEZ OROZCO, Guillermo. Similarities and Differences Between the Profiles of University Presidents at two Mexican Universities in the Northern Border. Frontera norte [online]. 2014, vol.26, n.51, pp.157-180. ISSN 2594-0260.

This paper analyzes profiles from university presidents at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) and Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) by characterizing a number of features resulting from comparing a given set of variables. Among these variables are those that specifically involve their connection with the university and their sense of belonging to their respective regions. The relevant role that university presidents play based on the own university rules and regulations is also taken into consideration.

Keywords : state universities; academic profile; university presidents; comparative analysis; institutional identities.
