While there are many works on state policies for the control of borders dividing North and South, there are very few on the subject of concrete strategies, whether individual or collective, used by migrants when crossing borders and the nature of their experience at this particular moment. The following article seeks to make a contribution to this topic through the presentation of an ethnographic analysis of border crossings by young indigenous people from rural communities in Chiapas and Oaxaca who have experienced migration in different ways.
