This article presents a reflection on internal borders in intercultural situations. We understand internal borders as the porous zones of subjectivity where the absolute coexists with the negotiable. This permits an understanding of the subject, as well as his/her beliefs, representations, attitudes and actions, from the place at which he/she constantly forms his/her subjectivity. In this sense, it interests us to approach this subject matter by way of the concepts of habitus and intersubjectivity, every time they make it possible to define this work as opposed to psychological approaches on the individual, and at the same time they avoid classifying our reflection within the framework of a sociological determinism.
