With Ruy Mauro Marini's Dialéctica de la dependencia, Latin-American social theory culminated a long effort seeking to formulate a theory of Dependant Capitalism and the laws that reproduce it. At the center of diverse characteristics, the superexploitation of labour force becomes a fundamental element as it articulates and explains the present tendencies of capital reproduction in the region. In the present article it is argued that it is the own development of the value witch feed its tendencies to damage it. At the same time, the political dimension of Marin's analysis is emphasized, accentuating the responsibility of local ruling classes in the reproduction of dependency.
