The "occupational stress" as a central process in the journal work is becoming be a usual condition, however is very important to replant and discuss the ways to see it just from a technical and economic concern and assume a critical perspective to focus the problematic. The present document, it refers to a topic of growing today, whether the reference is to Mexico, as if it addresses the international arena. The "occupational stress", understood as the process of mental exhaustion and cognitive that invariably today seems to be a companion to the intrinsic workday (and beyond covering the different areas of everyday life) should be raised and discussed in a different light to the emphasis placed on the concern by the measurement, characterization, evaluation, development of models for the control of work-related stress, among the most prominent; but with a profound neglect with respect to the base of their discussion, construction and historical definition-social, slope around which develops this essay, that in addition to the tracks of analysis and research exposed, the work is carried out of approximation and interpretation historical, social, highlighting the narratives of primary care physicians, seconded to the Secretariat of Health (SSA).
